“This year marks 30 years for the British Quality Foundation (BQF) as the Home of UK Excellence. In this time, BQF has firmly established itself as a key driver of the UK Excellence movement, creating a thriving community of Excellence professionals through its membership, awards and certifications. I am immensely proud of the contribution it has made in supporting best practice creation and, most importantly, helping people in a wide and diverse range of organisations to improve continuously.

Excellence brings people together from all walks of life. Your involvement will help shape the future of Excellence – you all contribute to raising the standing of your organisations on the global stage, as well as inspiring and encouraging others. The awards recognise the everyday Excellence in our midst and celebrate the individuals and organisations who are giving back to their communities. Your efforts in getting to this stage of the process and being in the room this evening should be commended and celebrated.
